At VIDYA, we know that choosing a yoga school is more than booking a course. It's placing your time, money, and growth into someone else's hands. That's why we created theVerified School Badge: a signal that a school has met our highest standards for safety, quality, and cultural respect.

This badge isn't pay-to-play. It's review-based, documentation-backed, and student-informed.

What the badge means

If you see a Verified badge on a school listing, it means:

The school has submitted key documents (registrations, certifications, etc.)
We've reviewed their curriculum, teachers, and facilities
Their reviews reflect consistent, respectful, and honest student experiences
They've agreed to our Code of Ethics and Transparency Guidelines

What we check for

Every school is different, but our criteria include:

Registered teachers with traceable experience and certifications
Clear, honest course descriptions (not just marketing talk)
Past student reviews that go beyond social media
Visible leadership — we know who's running the school
Response time & communication quality with our team
Transparency in pricing, no hidden charges or surprise fees
Respect for Indian tradition and avoidance of cultural appropriation

Schools don't have to be perfect, but they do need to be real, responsive, and respectful.

Reporting a concern

VIDYA is a platform built on trust. If you attended a school that didn't match its description, misrepresented its teachers, or behaved inappropriately, we want to know.

You can stay anonymous. We treat all reports with discretion and investigate every submission
